CFI’s headquarters in Philadelphia was formerly a nineteenth-century Swedenborgian church built in 1881. It was designed by architect Theophilus P. Chandler Jr., founder of the University of Pennsylvania’s department of architecture. When the church closed in the mid-1980s, office space was carefully added, while preserving original aspects of the church.
“Do everything with passion and enthusiasm.”
In 2011, Knoll won the National Design Award for Corporate and Institutional Achievement from the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. Winners of the prestigious National Design Award are honored for excellence in design and the public impact of their body of work. This win is a testament to their legacy and also supports their forward- looking vision for design.
At Knoll facilities, sustainability is incorporated into everything they do, from careful material selection to the deployment of green technologies. This commitment to the environment is confirmed by a long list of third-party certifications including FSC, Greenguard, Smart and Level.
A 100% parts warranty — Knoll was the first manufacturer to offer a Lifetime Warranty for certain systems products. As long as CFI clients own their Knoll systems, we warranty the products 100% for parts.
